About the Job
As a Hiring Manager at Gata Global, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our client's dynamic development team, dedicated to creating engaging games. This pivotal Remote/Hybrid role requires at least 6 years of professional experience, focusing on enhancing the entire service lifecycle, implementing robust monitoring solutions, and optimizing deployments to ensure highly reliable and scalable gaming experiences for both players and developers. Candidates must possess strong expertise in GoLang, gRPC, monitoring tools, and build pipelines, coupled with excellent English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage in improving the whole lifecycle of services from inception through deployment, operations, and refinement.
- Implement service monitoring and alerting solutions to track service health and performance effectively.
- Define clear Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and gather the necessary metrics to accurately track these objectives.
- Enhance the software lifecycle through automated tests, streamlined deployments, and efficient builds, alongside performing comprehensive load testing.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues across software, systems, tools, and services to minimize downtime and disruption to development.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with current infrastructure, systems, and technologies, as well as anticipating and planning for potential future scalability and reliability challenges.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to develop new game features, ensuring a high standard of code quality, stability, maintainability, readability, and performance.
- Work in conjunction with electrical engineers to integrate custom hardware interfaces and develop tools for thorough hardware testing.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role or a similar capacity.
- Demonstrated strong experience with GoLang, gRPC, various monitoring tools, and build pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse and collaborative team environment, demonstrating productivity and autonomy.
Preferred Requirement
- A critical passion for games and the gaming industry, actively contributing to product development and player experience.
