UCTalent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Integration Engineer (ADF) to serve as a technical lead in designing, architecting, and implementing a robust, metadata-driven Azure Data Factory (ADF) framework.
This critical role involves supporting 26 enterprise integrations, enforcing stringent security standards (Managed Identity, Azure Key Vault), establishing advanced CI/CD practices, and implementing robust data extraction mechanisms from a new Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system to various downstream operating-company platforms. As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient data flow across our essential systems, while also providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews for mid-level developers.
This critical role involves supporting 26 enterprise integrations, enforcing stringent security standards (Managed Identity, Azure Key Vault), establishing advanced CI/CD practices, and implementing robust data extraction mechanisms from a new Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system to various downstream operating-company platforms. As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient data flow across our essential systems, while also providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews for mid-level developers.
Responsibilities
- Framework & Pattern Design: Architect and build a flexible, scalable, metadata-driven ADF pattern library to handle batch, delta, and near-real-time integration pipelines.
- Security & Governance: Implement enterprise security patterns including Azure Key Vault integration, Azure Managed Identities, role-based access control (RBAC), and private endpoints.
- Complex Pipeline Development: Design and build end-to-end integration pipelines connecting Oracle HCM to downstream systems (Deltek Costpoint, Absorb LMS, Egencia, Viva Glint, Entra ID/Active Directory).
- CI/CD & DevOps Automation: Collaborate with DevOps engineers to establish release automation, ARM/Bicep template deployments, and multi-environment pipeline promotion via Azure DevOps.
- Technical Guidance & Review: Establish pipeline coding standards, logging/auditing specifications, error handling, and retry strategies. Conduct peer code reviews and unblock mid-level ADF developers.
- System Integration: Resolve complex API authentication protocols, pagination, rate limiting, and dynamic payload handling across source and target endpoints.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years of data engineering and integration experience, with at least 4+ years specializing in Azure Data Factory.
- Azure Mastery: Expert knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) including Data Flows, Web Activities, Dynamic Content, and Control Flow. Proficient with Azure Key Vault, Managed Identity, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), and Log Analytics.
- API & Data Formats: Advanced proficiency in interfacing with REST/SOAP APIs, complex JSON/XML parsing, parameterization, and handling pagination/throttling.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Git-integrated ADF development and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Database & SQL: Strong SQL scripting skills for metadata repository management, control table design, and logging/auditing frameworks.
Preferred Requirement
- Oracle HCM Integration: Direct experience extracting data from Oracle Fusion HCM via HCM Extracts, HCM Data Loader (HDL), BICC, or Atom Feeds.
- Identity & Target Systems: Experience with SCIM protocol, Entra ID provisioning, or integrations with Deltek Costpoint / Vantagepoint.
